The Draft HTML5 Specification describes how video and audio should be incorporated in webpages. Listed below are the relevant items in the current specfication which are under review.

• captioning for the hearing impaired/description for the visually impaired/alternate languages -lang tag
• dubbing/alternate audio streams - multilingual
• Ability to provide alternate versions of video - for those with limited bandwidth/alternate devices- network states?
