2004 Cool Community. This federal government funded project was aimed at changing household behaviour to reduce the production of greenhouse gases by encouraging the use of flourescent light bulbs. In Leichhardt the project was initiated by Leichhardt Council. A steering group was formed and the strategy they proposed and used, was to work with existing community groups such as Spanish and Italian speaking groups. Subject of two academic studies
