new theatre, in partnership with A.L.I.V. (Australian League of Immigration Volunteers) will host a group of more than 60 refugee children and their families at the next SATURDAY KIDS' CLUB on 24 FEBRUARY at 11am.

The main objective of the Australian League of Immigration Volunteers (A.L.I.V.) is to improve the lives of children and families with Bridging Visas and those living in Community Detention, as well as adults and children living inside Immigration Detention Centres.

A.L.I.V. programs provide essential recreational and developmental opportunities for children, families and adults, which ease loneliness and isolation and improve physical and mental health.

new theatre has an on-going commitment to assisting community groups. In 2005 it hosted members of the Sydney Sudanese community in a fundraising concert, and in 2006 it was the turn of the Middle Eastern community in a concert to raise money for humanitarian aid relief work in Lebanon.

new theatre is very proud to support the important work of A.L.I.V. and looks forward to welcoming our guests on Saturday 24 February.
