Introduction

To live sustainably in Sydney we need to consider our impact on the natural environment. This includes the energy and water we use and the food we eat. The quality of the air and level of noise in our immediate environment also affects our physical, emotional and long term mental health.

If we are to live elegantly we need to embed sustainability into our city - whether it be efficient water use in our buildings, well designed open space incorporating trees to absorb our carbon emissions or improving the efficiency of our lighting and the sources of energy.

Air and Noise pollution is also important as it damages our physical and mental health.
